Palo Alto's Policy Regarding The Goals At JLS

The City of Palo Alto has issued a new policy regarding the goals at JLS. Effective immediately, the teams playing in the first game will have to unlock the goals and position them on the fields. The teams playing in the last game MUST return the goals to their designated positions and lock them up.

Hi all,

Effective immediately, the goals at JLS have been either locked up and moved off the fields
or locked together on the field. They will be locked with a combination lock.
The combination is 9999. The groups can unlock the goals and move them into
their desired position for practice and games and MUST move them back and lock
them down when their use has completed. It is the responsibility of the last
group using the field each day to move the goals to the designated areas to
be chained down/locked at each field.

JLS #1 - The goal on JLS #1 north should
be locked to the bleachers on the third base side of the diamond. The goal on
the south end should be locked to the fence that separates JLS from Hoover Elementary.

JLS #2 - North goal should be locked to JLS #3 south goal when not in use. South
goal should be locked to fence that separates Hoover & JLS.

JLS #3 - South goal should be locked to #2 North goal when not in use. North goal should
be locked to fence that separates fields from buildings directly behind the goal area.

JLS #4 - North goal has not been locked as of yet. It should be locked to the
small tree on the east side of the field. It can't be locked to the fence as
it blocks th pathway. South goal is not yet locked either. It will be locked
to the baseball dugout fence immediately behind it.

I know this is short notice, but it has to get done immediately. I will work with you
folks and the PE Dept at JLS as each will have some input for me as to where the goals
may need to be locked down in the future.

Please email or call me with your comments, questions and concerns.
